Our Story

Navigational Studios was founded in 2020 in the midst of COVID-19 as a way to better the greater Wilmington community. Initially, Navigational Studios was based out of Malik’s home where we recorded local artists, friends, and students.

In 2021, we partnered with Links Incorporated, creating Light After Dark, an initiative to stop the violence between 9PM and 2AM. In 2022, Navigational Studios partnered with the Surfrider Foundation of Wilmington, shooting a premier for the organization and bringing awareness towards people of color getting into the water.

Free GAME (Giving Athletes More Exposure) was founded in 2023, where we take around 15 athletes from underrepresented communities and created a podcasting, videography, and photography summer program, helping them build public speaking skills, create their brand, and gain exposure.
